- The NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY, CHAPTER 1514 of
Nashville, Tennessee, has decided
- to honor this forgotten, yet timeless
color with a Mailart Exhibition.The theme for this Mailart
- exhibition is
BLUE, which can be interpreted as loosely or conservatively as desired,
just be
- creative. All art has to get here by April 15 to be in time for
the exhibition. (We promise

- Hola compañeros, quiero informaros de la
formacion de un colectivo de arte "combativo y
- poetico", nos hacemos llamar "CENTRO
BRUTO", y supongo que cuando recibais el mensaje
- vereis nuetra direccion de correo (que yo no
he conseguido saber exactamente cual es) os
- mandamos este mensaje para informaros de dos
convocatorias de mail-art que queremos
- realizar a partir de ahora mismo y hasta el
año que viene por estas fechas:
- - La primera tiene como tema "LA VIDA DEL
CERDO" con todas sus connotaciones, de tecnica
- libre, sin seleccion, y con un formato maximo
de 50x70 cm. Tenemos la intencion de montar una
- exposicion itinerante por Extremadura, de la
que se mandara documentaciom a todos.
- - el tema de esta convocatoria es una palabra
"foll-arte", tecnica libre, formato 10x15cm, sin
- seleccion, el proyecto es ofrecer una
exposicion al Museo Reina Sofia para la sala "Espacio Uno"
- y consiste en la formacion de paneles de
100x150cm. con 100 obras cada uno, colocados de
- forma aleatoria, por orden de llegada,
con la idea de desmitificar la organizacion estricta dentro
- de la obra y conseguir instantes dentro
de un todo.

- *** ZYBOOKS ARTISTS' BOOKS
- Dear Zybooks Friends:
- Just to keep you up to date
with our site: Zybooks artists' books on line will be at the London
- Artists' Book Fair 1999
at The Barbican Art Gallery, 19-21 (Fri - Sun) November '99.
- Please visit the exhibition if
you can it will be a big event this year as it is in the main art
gallery
- and will have a performance
area, bar, events, workshops etc. Artists' books are going to get a
lot
- of exposure, and Zybooks is as
yet the only showcase for contemporary artists' books in the UK.
- The Zybooks site will be
projected into the performance area as an 'event'.
- I also plan to publish a book
on-line (that is if the Barbican will allow me a phone line) made by
- the visitors to the
exhibition. If the Barbican cannot provide a phone line then the e-book will
be
- published immediately
after the exhibition. It will comprise images/text works created by
the
- gallery visitors, scanned
in and sequenced - you will be able to view this later - details will
be
- sent to you. For
those of you who provide resources on-line for artists please send me via
email
- or snail mail your
information so I can show it at the event for the benefit of the artists
visiting
- the gallery.
